“Creative Director and President of J. Crew Jenna Lyons and Head Designer Marissa Webb see us in the pale pastels lemon, coral, pink as well as tangerine and lime to brighten things up a bit.  But really, they were all citrus colors – even the coral can be looked upon as pink grapefruit!

To turn things up a notch they paired their pretty pastels with leopard print ballet flats as well as adding a punch of color in accessories and shoes such as saffron yellow, tomato red and jade.

Pairing bright yellow with turquoise and accessorizing with a pale pink shoulder bag was also refreshing.  Reassuring that yellow is making a comeback for those of us who invested in some yellow items for Spring 2010 when all things yellow were trending.

J. Crew also combined contrasting patterns, such as polka dots with stripes and stripes with paisley and other ornate prints that would seem quite mismatched to the average person.” (examiner)
